Stirling Council – Allan Water Bridge, Dunblane
Duration – 26 weeks
Allan Water Bridge consists of two 16m arch bridge spans, with two concrete extensions added on to both sides of the arch spandrel walls sometime around the 1960s. Our contract was to completely remove both concrete extensions down to the abutment level on all four corners. Construct new bearing shelves, install four 20m long prestressed beams and cast new deck side extensions to the arch. New parapet and cladded in masonry.
Temporary working platforms were installed spanning from one abutment to the other.
