Duration – 20 Weeks
Phase 1 – slope retention and access to site, access had to be taken through protective flood bund, which had to be replaced each and every time there was risk of flood. The initial works were to create crane access and platform to allow construction of river embankment slope stabilization with Gabion wall.
Phase 2 – Removal of existing structure, the existing structure consisted of two main elements, the main span being 34m and 22m short span. Casting of precast bearing seats and positioning, installation of 34m and 22m twin span superstructure. All of which had to be completed under close monitoring of flood levels and SEPA approvals for periods of working.
